Current status: Valid as Rhinosardinia bahiensis (Steindachner 1879). Dorosomatidae. Distribution: Along Atlantic coast from Orinoco River to northeastern Brazil: Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname and Venezuela. Habitat: freshwater, brackish.
