Paratypes: SIO 62-55 (10). •Valid as Starksia lepidogaster Rosenblatt & Taylor 1971 -- (Hastings in Fischer et al. 1995:1014 [ref. 22829], Nelson et al. 2004:164 [ref. 27807], Patzner et al. 2009:465 [ref. 30396], Erisman et al. 2011:33 [ref. 31460], Page et al. 2013:170 [ref. 32708]). Current status: Valid as Starksia lepidogaster Rosenblatt & Taylor 1971. Labrisomidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Islas Marías archipelago endemic. Habitat: marine.
