Holotype: LACM 32493-43. Paratypes: ANSP 110682-83 (1, 5); LACM 3248-55 (32), 32493-42 (10), 32546-49 (1), 32551-39 (1), 32562-48 (1); SIO 94-133 (5); UCR 382-1 (19), 432-23 (2), 433-40 (14). Type catalog: Angulo et al. 2015:385 [ref. 35212]. •Valid as Elacatinus inornatus Bussing 1990 -- (Allen & Robertson 1994:262 [ref. 22193], Hoese in Fischer et al. 1995:1134 [ref. 22829]). •Synonym of Elacatinus digueti (Pellegrin 1901) -- (Hoese & Reader 2001:161 [ref. 26035]). •Synonym of Tigrigobius digueti (Pellegrin 1901). •Valid as Tigrigobius inornatus (Bussing 1990) -- (Van Tassell 2011:156 [ref. 31732]). Current status: Valid as Tigrigobius inornatus (Bussing 1990). Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Costa Rica to Colombia. Habitat: marine.
