Holotype (unique): MNHN 2007-0086. •Valid as Trachyscorpia verai Béarez & Motomura 2009 -- (Zavalaga et al. 2022:[2] [ref. 40146], Zavalaga et al. 2023:184 [ref. 40309]). Current status: Valid as Trachyscorpia verai Béarez & Motomura 2009. Scorpaenidae: Sebastolobinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Ecuador and northern Peru. Habitat: marine.
