Here, we combine known occurrences of this species from our collections with environmental data layers, such as temperature and precipitation, for each of these locations. Using a function available in GIS software, we can predict the potential range of distribution where this species could occur. As climate change and economic development continue to alter the natural landscape, the ability to predict where species occur will become an increasingly important conservation tool.
