Water temp. = ? C. This is the fourth of five schools which we have attempted to cature entirely and separately. They are labeled by letter as MAB96-8A, etc. School A: within 3 m of shore in 25 cm of water. Except for our activities, the water was not turbid. There was no cover. Complete capture. School B: small group in 20 cm water within 2 m of shore among suberged tree limbs. We surrounded it and removed branches. Complete capture, 1 fish escaped. School C: caught among fallen branches. 20 cm deep, 2 m offshore. Complete capture by wrapping seine around tree branch. School D: under recumbent birch. Complete capture, 40 cm deep, 2 m from shore. School E: in bay between 2 fallen trees in 20 cm water 2 m from shore. Complete capture, but branches may have lifted led line. |
