m, f, juveniles. Fixed in 10% buffered (dolomite) formalin ~1 month. |
Collecting Event Remarks |
Water temp. = ? C. Set traps along south side of lake near west end. Adult and juvenile stickleback seen. Dipped 200 fry and fixed in PBS formalin. Mushroom shaped pond is small but water is very black. Arctic loon nest at our end of lake. Tern and kingfisher seen. Take middle fork of road just before mile 66 marker. Pulled traps at 1230 hr 20 June. Got a few juveniles, 1 female. Reset traps at west end. Despite numerous fish seen here, catch poorer than yesterday. Traps pulled at 1720 hr 20 June, and only 30 fish caught, all G. aculeatus. |
