| Collecting Event Remarks | Water temp. = 19.0 C. Many truncated sticklebacks here. One nuptially colored male with red on pectoral and anal base running down to end of peduncle and onto ventral procurrent caudal rays. Worker at gravel pit said there had been a fish kill in the last month or two. G. aculeatus was very abundant and G. orcutti though less abundant was common. Fishes collected from eddies next to current measured. Eddies were 1-3 m wide and about. Few small sticklebacks present. No sticklebacks thrown back. Also caught Gila orcutti. | ||||||
