m, f, juveniles. Fixed in 10% buffered (dolomite) formalin ~1 month. |
Collecting Event Remarks |
Water temp. = 16 C. Tadpoles seen. Ranatra present. About 25 Cottus thrown back. Remnant pool isolated from lagoon at mouth. Cottus had captured a stickleback in the seine. Lagoon behind beach (about 150 m downstream) was choked to the surface with aquatic grass. Contains same 3 fish species as above, with Eucyclogobius predominating. Also caught Eucyclogobius newberryi and Cottus sp. |
