m, f, juveniles. Fixed in 10% buffered (dolomite) formalin ~1 month. |
Collecting Event Remarks |
Water temp. = 15.5 C. Rana aurora seen. Many small fish thrown back. These fish were collected from three remnant pools varying within dimensions listed above. The total length of about 60 m. They are mostly shaded by trees. Males in nuptial coloration. Probably Pacific giant salamander. Most brightly colored male had faint red stream posterior to pectoral fin on body. Also caught Oncorhynchus mykiss, Cottus asper, and Lampetra tridentata. |
