Collecting Event Remarks |
Water temp. = 20 C. Fish were more abundant this time than in September of 1976. Frog seen, verifies no salinity. Males in nuptial coloration. This is where south fork joins Ten Mile River. It is under tidal influence. Many small fish thrown back. Males photographed had little red but were dark and blue indicating nuptial coloration fully developed. Nuptial males included all three plate morphs. Also caught Cymatogaster aggregata, Eucyclogobius newberryi, Syngnathid sp., and Cottus sp. |
