m, f, juveniles. Fixed in 10% buffered (dolomite) formalin ~1 month. |
Collecting Event Remarks |
Water temp. = 22 to 26 C. Kingfisher seen feeding. Males from under one log were in nuptial coloration. 2 blue herons seen. A garter snake seen. Sticklebacks taken in side pools. Most pools connected with the river but isolated pools contained highest density. 2 species of tadpoles seen. Pool in which sticklebacks wre very abundant. Water temp was 26°C and in this same pool there were no sticklebacks in reproductive condition. Also caught Catostomus occidentalis, Cottus sp., and Oncorhynchus sp. |
