Gasterosteus aculeatus was examined for secondary sex characters: male appearance of red nuptial coloring: pelvic fin or tip of lower jaw-29, lower jaw and throat-75, lower head and operculum-2. Female: abdominal swelling indicating developing ova, slight swelling-0, full swelling-0. Sex indeterminate: 119 (no nuptial coloring, abdomen not swollen). Total: 226. | ||||||
