| Collecting Event Remarks | Water temp. = 25 C. Fish collected from a series of shallow, algae choked pools. Many small Gasterosteus thrown back. Sunfish were abundant under algae in one place and smaller species absent except small Gambusia in open water adjacent to the algae. The Gasterosteus included many small individuals but no fry. There were gravid females and nuptially colored males. One male had distinctive red coloration on anal fin. Also caught Gamusia affinis, Lapomis cyanellus, cyprinids, and Rhinichthys osculus. | ||||||
