Collecting Event Remarks Water temp. = 22 C. This is a check dam for irrigation that we sampled below in 1974. Sticklebacks were taken mostly below a shelf of concrete at the base of the spillway. There were mostly small Gasterosteus but a few large ones. There were a number of males with nuptial coloration (a few high) and one gravid female. There were no fry but a few fish <25 mm SL. Numerous large suckers were in the spillway. There were a number of male Pimephales with nuptial coloration. Also caught Gambusia affinis, Catostomus santaanae, Gila orcutti, and Pimephales promelas.
