Water temp. = 19 C. This is a small impoundment above a road embankment, a natural pond. It appears to be shallow throughout and only 100x50 m with emergent grass around entire shore and alder and some spruce a few meters back from shore. About a third of the pond has emergent grasses and Equisetum covering the surface. Traps pulled at 2100 hr 3 July. Two size classes of sticklebacks, smaller (1+) fish put in ethanol. Formalin fixed individual both size classes. |
