m, f, juveniles. Fixed in 10% buffered (dolomite) formalin ~1 month. |
Collecting Event Remarks |
Water temp. = ? C. Unnamed creek runs through pipe under road. Eleven traps cast on east side of road, 4 on west side. Several sticklebacks spotted on east side. 4 June: collected 8 Pungitius from 15 traps set 3 June. Reset 17 traps in similar locations, plus 21 at mouth of stream from unnamed lake. 5 June: collected 4 live Pungitius and 1 dead male at mouth of stream. Also collected 15 Pungitius in small channels of creek. Both sides of road yielded gravid females, although majority of traps set on east side. Several nuptial males also collected, including one with pelvic spines. Two traps not recovered from creek site. Moose may have stepped on another. |
