Collecting Event Remarks |
Water temp. = 21 C. All 12 traps were set among recumbent branches in a clump of willow and alder with adjacent offshore water lilies. Trout (O. mykiss) in schools of about 50-100 fish periodically cruised through. Stickleback were seen inshore and immediately congregated around set traps. A sample of fish fixed in ethanol for otolith ageing, most in formalin. Three year classes apparent. One male had blue eyes and dorsal surface, a little red on throat. |
