Collecting Event Remarks |
Water Temp. = 27 C. Sticklebacks are not abundant here. Gila orcutti is very rare and only one Lepomis sp. was seen. The rarity of sticklebacks [Gasterosteus aculeatus] may be due to the warmth of water or high water velocity which is a result of the lack of vegetation due to motorcycle and car riding in the river bottom. This activity is also probably responsible for the lack of meanders and pools. No males with high nuptial coloration. Near Soledad guart station. Also caught Gila orcutti, Gambusia affinis, Catostomus sp., and Lepomis sp. |
