Collecting Event Remarks |
Water temp. = 22.5 C. Fair number of males in nuptial coloration. Some females approaching being gravid. 0 plated sticklebacks appear to be present. Large (40 cm) fish seen in catch basin of water system (Lake Hemet Municipal Water Dist.), presumably Salmo gairdneri, upstream. Stream gradient very high and habitat appears unsuitable for sticklebacks above this point. Sticklebacks and dace seined along 20 m of stream. Also caught Rhinichthys osculus. |
