Collecting Event Remarks |
Water temp. = 20.5 C. This is a larger pool immediately upstream of the pool where previous dead sample (MAB77-82) was made. A little trickle of water enters this pool upstream and this pool used to flow into the pool where the previous dead sample was made. It does not do so now. The pool at the surface is almost completely covered with filamentous algae. Dead sticklebacks were fairly abundant but other species abundant in the pool (especially Gambusia) were not found dead. Length of this pool: 65 m. Sticklebacks unusually abundant, many thrown back. Also caught Gila orcutti, Catostomus santaanae, and Pimephales promelas. |
