m, f, juveniles. Fixed in 10% buffered (dolomite) formalin ~1 month. |
Collecting Event Remarks |
Water Temp. = 19.5 C. Some small sticklebacks thrown back. Garter snakes abundant. One small one seen carrying Gambusia affinis in mouth. Pool behind beaver dam forming an equilateral triangle in shape. Male with nuptial coloration had very dark pigment over hind 3/4 of body (behind head). Nuptial coloration have as in Huasna River and San Antonio Creek, Vandenberg AFB. Also caught Gila orcutti and Gambusia affinis. |
