m, f, juveniles. Fixed in 10% buffered (dolomite) formalin ~1 month. |
Collecting Event Remarks |
Water Temp. = 19.8 C. Sticklebacks not abundant. No stickleback fry or gravid females. Nuptial coloration identical to San Antonio Creek (Vandenberg AFB) with red on pectoral and anal fin bases and red spots along ventral abdomen. Garter snakes abundant. 3 morphs seen: unlined, 2 lined (no mid stripe) and 3 lined. When reservoir is full, this area is inundated. Also caught Gambusia affinis and other minnows. |
