| Collecting Event Remarks | Water temp. = 18 C. No adult sticklebacks, no males in nuptial coloration. This is a 65 m long pool formed where the creek is cutting against the west bank of the flood plain forming 20 m high cliff. Small beach is on the east bank. A large animal, possibly 60 cm, escaped from the net, presumably it was Salmo; this suspicion reinforced by numerous fishing gear caught in trees. Some minnows with reddish orange coloration on premaxilla, preoperculum dorsal corner of operculum, pectoral and pelvic axillae, and base of anal fin. Also caught Cottus asper, Oncorhynchus mykiss, Catostomus occidentalis, and atherinid sp. | ||||||
