m, f, juveniles. Fixed in 10% buffered (dolomite) formalin ~1 month. |
Collecting Event Remarks |
Water temp. = 22 C. Many males in nuptial coloration. Most sticklebacks found in Potamogeton. Sacramento perch said by local fishermen to be present. Also sandbar said to open in wet years. Criteria for full nuptial coloration-blue on dorsolateral surfaces and deep red on throat and some red on preopercle. Many small sticklebacks thrown back. Also caught Eucyclogobius (?), Clupeid sp., Leptocottus armatus, Cottus asper (?), Atherinid sp., and Syngnathid sp. |
