Madagascar Dendroleontini

This tribe of rather fragile appearing antlions are mostly forest dwellers and larvae have been found to inhabit tree holes. Larvae often have tufts of setae and bristles sticking out of their mesonotum. None of the species are commonly collected. There are four genera and six species known from Madagascar. The genera can be identified using the keys in Stange (2004).
