Collecting Event Remarks Water Temp. = 25 C. Calm area 100 m long. Fish collected among emergent grasses. Most fish were silvery on lateral flank but at least one was greenish gold. This may indicate that it had come in from another habitat. Also caught Gila orcutti.

Collecting Event Remarks Water Temp. = 17 C. This is a pool where the outflow from the hatchery tanks is released. The sticklebacks were taken in a calm area with emergent vegetation to the right of flow. Gravid females and males with nuptial coloration present. Also caught and released Catostomus sp., Gila orcutti, and Oncorhynchus sp.

Many were collected behind where a wooden pallet dammed the water slowing the current. Few males with nuptial coloration seen. Also caught Gila orcutti, Gambusia affinis, and Catostomus sp.

Collecting Event Remarks Water Temp. = 21 C. Gasterosteus aculeatus extremely abundant in this area of stream which has shrunken considerably probably concentrating the fish. No males with nuptial coloration nor gravid females seen. The fish were so abundant that most were thrown back from first seine haul. Thus the sample may be unintentionally biased in favor of large fish. Also caught Gila orcutti and Catostomus sp.

Collecting Event Remarks Water Temp. = 20 C. This is a 200 m stretch of water flowing at top where fish taken. Fish taken in two side pools, one 2.5 m, the other 5 m in diameter. The larger pool has cobbles with algae growing on them. No nuptial males or gravid females seen. Also caught Gila orcutti, Catostomus sp., and unknown cyprinid.

Collecting Event Remarks Water Temp. = 22 C. A segment of stream impounded behind a dirt road. It is drained by 2 culverts, one of which is flowing very slightly. Pool is 60% covered with algae. Very few gravid females [Gasterosteus aculeatus] and no males with fully developed nuptial coloration. No fry. Also caught Gambusia affinis, Gila orcutti, and unknown cyprinid.

Collecting Event Remarks Water Temp. = 23.5 C. This area is similar to the last station: 15-30 m pools in low spots among boulders. The fish were taken from four pools with varying amounts of algae. Those with the most algae had the most fish. Also caught Oncorhynchus mykiss and Gila orcutti.
