Lectotype selected by Isbrücker & Nijssen 1988:48 [ref. 7319] for Chilodus punctatus. Not treated by Vari & Raredon in Reis et al. 2003:85 [ref. 27061]. •Synonym of Chilodus punctatus Müller & Troschel 1844. Current status: Synonym of Chilodus punctatus Müller & Troschel 1844. Chilodontidae. Habitat: freshwater.
