Genera in the family or subfamily Dichistiidae: [ 4 ] records Coracinus Gronow [L. T.] 1763:66 Masc. Apparently not available, published in a rejected work (Opinions 89 and 261). Smith 1986:601 [ref. 5712]. •In the synonymy of Dichistius Gill 1888 -- (Leis & van der Lingen 1997:100 [ref. 23161]). Suppressed. Current status: Synonym of Dichistius Gill 1888. Dichistiidae. See remarks under Coracinus Gronow. •Synonym of Coracinus -- (authors). •Valid as Dichistius Gill 1888 -- (Leis & van der Lingen 1997:100 [ref. 23161], Fricke et al. 2018:232 [ref. 35805]). Current status: Valid as Dichistius Gill 1888. Dichistiidae. Dipterodon Cuvier [G.] 1829:194 Masc. Dipterodon capensis Cuvier 1831. Type by monotypy. Objectively invalid; preoccupied by Dipterodon Lacepède 1802 in fishes; replaced by Dichistius Gill 1888. •In the synonymy of Dichistius Gill 1888. 1°Homonym. Current status: Synonym of Dichistius Gill 1888. Dichistiidae. Drepanoscorpis Fowler [H. W.] 1934:476 Fem. Drepanoscorpis gilchristi Fowler 1934.
