Current status: Synonym of Leptobarbus Bleeker 1859. Leptobarbidae.

Leptobarbus Bleeker [P.] 1859:153 Masc. Barbus hoevenii Bleeker 1851. Type by subsequent monotypy. Apparently appeared first in key, without included species. One species included by Bleeker 1859:153 [ref. 371] and 1860:285, 432 [ref. 380]. •Valid as Leptobarbus Bleeker 1859 (often dated 1860) -- (Kottelat 1985:263 [ref. 11441], Roberts 1989:41 [ref. 6439], Doi 1997:22 [ref. 22832], Tang et al. 2010:202 [ref. 31204] in Leptobarbina, Kottelat 2013:119 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Valid as Leptobarbus Bleeker 1859. Leptobarbidae.
