Abth.); ref. 4226] Endeavour Strait, Queensland, Australia, 10°50'S, 142°15'E. Holotype: SMNS 2415. Type catalog: Fricke 1995:16 [ref. 28100] and Fricke 2005:47 [ref. 29864] with syntypes at SMNS. On p. 12 of separate. Species originally spelled as Mülleri, change mandatory. Type locality erroneously given as Cleveland Bay, Townsville, Australia by Steindachner 1878:388 [ref. 4226]; locality was apparently confused when specimen was sent on loan to F. Steindachner. •Valid as Leptobrama muelleri Steindachner 1878 -- (Allen & Swainston 1988:92 [ref. 25477] as mulleri, Allen 1997:144 [ref. 23977] as mulleri, Larson & Williams 1997:362 [ref. 23967] as mulleri, Johnson 1999:738 [ref. 25471], Hutchins 2001:35 [ref. 25847], Mooi 2001:3210 [ref. 26112], Hoese & Bray 2006:1280 [ref. 29000], Larson et al. 2013:153 [ref. 32988], Kimura et al. 2016:[3] [ref. 34189]). Current status: Valid as Leptobrama muelleri Steindachner 1878. Leptobramidae. Distribution: Western Pacific: northern Australia and southern New Guinea. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.

D.] 1887:563 [Proceedings of the Linnean Society of New South Wales (Series 2) v. 2 (pt 2, 3); ref. 14476] 30 miles up the Aird River, Papua New Guinea. Holotype (unique): AMS I.1308. •Valid as Leptobrama pectoralis (Ramsay & Ogilby 1887) -- (Kimura et al. 2016:[8] [ref. 34189]). Current status: Valid as Leptobrama pectoralis (Ramsay & Ogilby 1887). Leptobramidae. Distribution: Australia and Papua New Guinea. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.

ramsayi, Neopempheris Macleay [W.] 1881:517, Pl. 14 [Proceedings of the Linnean Society of New South Wales v. 5 (pt 4); ref. 2869] Rockingham Bay, Queensland, Australia. Holotype (unique): AMS I.1396. •Synonym of Leptobrama muelleri Steindachner 1878 -- (Hoese & Bray 2006:1280 [ref. 29000], Kimura et al. 2016:[3] [ref. 34189]). Current status: Synonym of Leptobrama muelleri Steindachner 1878. Leptobramidae. Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine.
