Habitat: marine. funchali, Omosudis lowei Roule [L.] 1929:10, Fig. [Bulletin de l'Institut Océanographique (Monaco) No. 546; ref. 3822] Funchal, Madeira. Holotype: MOM 0091-1727. •Synonym of Omosudis lowii Günther 1887 -- (Post 1990:386 [ref. 15233] as lowei). Current status: Synonym of Omosudis lowii Günther 1887. Omosudidae. Habitat: marine. indicus, Omosudis lowei var. Brauer [A.] 1906:141, Fig. 69 [Die Tiefsee-Fische v. 15; ref. 632] Gulf of Guinea, Atlantic; north of Cocos Islands, Chagos Archipelago, and between Seychelles and Zanzibar (Tanzania). Syntypes: (6) SMF 2064; ZMB 17555-56 (1, 1), 22579 (1). •Synonym of Omosudis lowei [should be lowii] Günther 1887 -- (Ege 1958:4 [ref. 24557], Post 1990:386 [ref. 15233]). Current status: Synonym of Omosudis lowii Günther 1887. Omosudidae. Habitat: marine. lowii, Omosudis Günther [A.] 1887:201, Pl. 52 (figs. C-C') [Report on the Scientific Results of the Voyage of H. M. S. Challenger v. 22 (pt 57); ref. 2013] Philippine seas, western Pacific, Challenger station 214, depth 500 fathoms; Magdalena, Madeira [eastern Atlantic]. Syntypes: BMNH 1868.5.13.6 (1) Madeira, 1887.12.7.220 (1) south of Philippines.
