Anyperistius Ogilby [J. D.] 1908:3, 11 Masc. Anyperistius perugiae Ogilby 1908. Type by original designation (also monotypic). Spelled two ways by Ogilby 1908, Anyperistius on p. 3, once on p. 11, p. 12 (footnote), and p. 39 (index); Anyperisteus with main genus heading on p. 11; the latter regarded as in error. •Synonym of Neosilurus Steindachner 1867 -- (Ferraris 2007:347 [ref. 29155]). Choeroplotosus Kner [R.] 1866:545 [3] Masc. Choeroplotosus decemfilis Kner 1867. Type by subsequent monotypy. On p. 3 of separate. Also described as new in Kner 1867:300 [ref. 2638]. In 1866:545 Kner listed one species as, "Choeroplotosus limbatus (Plotos. limbatus ? C. V.)", but in 1867 (p. 300) he described the species as Choeroplotosus decemfilis n. sp., with "Syn.? an Plotosus limbatus C. V." Apparently the genus can date to 1866:545 with no definitely-included named species, with species added in 1867; type C. decemfilis by subsequent monotypy. •Synonym of Cnidoglanis Günther 1864 -- (Ferraris 2007:346 [ref. 29155]).
