Objectively invalid; preoccupied by Oxypristis Signoret 1861 in Hemiptera, replaced by Anoxypristis White & Moy-Thomas 1941. Based on a Recent species but fossil species were included. •Objective synonym of Anoxypristis White & Moy-Thomas 1941 -- (Cappetta 1987:157 [ref. 6348], Paxton et al. 1989:58 [ref. 12442], Kottelat 2013:23 [ref. 32989]). 1°Homonym.
