cheilodipteroides, Scombrops Bleeker [P.] 1853:9 [Verhandelingen van het Bataviaasch Genootschap van Kunsten en Wetenschappen. v. 25 (art. 7); ref. 340] Nagasaki, Japan. No types known. Original as cheilodipteroïdes. Available as "Scombrops cheilodipteroïdes Blkr. = Scombrops T. Schl. (Cheilodipter. affin.). Japon." This refers to Temminck & Schlegel 1845:118, Pl. 63 (fig. 2). Also in Bleeker 1855:58 [ref. 357]. Scombropidae.
