Objectively invalid; preoccupied by Bergia Duchassaing & Michelotti 1861 in Coleoptera and by Bergia Scott 1881 in Hemiptera; apparently not replaced. Bergia dates to 9 July 1891 according to Fowler 1975:184 [ref. 9333] and Chalcinopelecus apparently dates to June 1891. •Synonym of Pseudocorynopoma Perugia (30 Apr.) 1891 -- (Weitzman in Reis et al. 2003:226 [ref. 27061]). 1°Homonym.
