Artediellichthys Fedorov [V. V.] (ex Schmidt) 1973:62 Masc. Artediellus nigripinnis Schmidt 1937. Type by subsequent monotypy. First appeared as name only (subgenus of Artediellus Jordan 1885) in Taranetz 1941:434 [ref. 5535]; not available from that publication, as no species was included. Fedorov 1973:62 [ref. 5567] gave author as 'Schmidt 1937', but Schmidt 1937:571 [ref. 15302] only mentioned that Taranetz planned to describe a new genus for Artediellus nigripinnis, without naming it. •Valid as Artediellichthys Taranetz 1941 -- (Neelov 1979:116, 159 [ref. 3152], Mecklenburg et al. 2002:402 [ref. 25968], Parin et al. 2002:S69 [ref. 28300], Parin et al. 2014:234 [ref. 33547]). •Valid as Artediellichthys Fedorov 1973.
