Genus and species description not diagnostic, both regarded by Kottelat 1987:371 [ref. 5962] as nomina nuda. Genus is available from Bleeker 1863:34 [ref. 400] as Nemacheilus and species by Valenciennes 1846. See Nemacheilus.
