Hymenophysa Bleeker [P.] 1858:303 See Hymenphysa McClelland. Nalbant 2002:317 [ref. 27361] regarded this genus name available from Bleeker, but that is incorrect. Hymenophysa is an incorrect subsequent spelling. Species are now placed in Syncrossus Blyth 1860. Botiidae: Botiinae.
