Type by original designation. •Synonym of Trichomycterus Valenciennes 1832, but a valid subgenus as described -- (Costa et al. 2023:24 [ref. 40170], Costa et al. 2024:758 [ref. 41213]). Current status: Synonym of Trichomycterus Valenciennes 1832. Trichomycteridae: Trichomycterinae.
