(Gomphosus, Lacep.)" but not recorded by Bonaparte as "Nob." which was his style for replacement names. Not available. Jordan regarded as of doubtful elegibility and as a substitute for Gomphosus. Current status: Synonym of Gomphosus Lacepède 1801. Labridae.
