Dasybatus Bonaparte [C. L.] 1834:puntata 32 Masc. Raja radula Delaroche 1809. Apparently appeared first in puntata 32, fasc. 6 under Raja marginata and spelled Leiobatus and Leiobatis; also appeared in puntata 68 under Raja radula. Bonaparte attributes the name to Blainville, so Bonaparte's treatment is not regarded as an original description. Also appeared in Bonaparte 1838:203 [ref. 4979] with Raja clavata Linnaeus 1758 as type species. •In the synonymy of Raja Linnaeus 1758. Current status: Synonym of Raja Linnaeus 1758. Rajidae.
