Spelled Chromileptes on p. 168 and in index and Cromileptes on 201; first technical reviser apparently McCulloch 1929 [ref. 35683], who selected Chromileptes; both spellings are in current usage. Type designated by Bleeker 1876:257 [ref. 447] (not S. gigas as designated by Swain 1882:272 [ref. 5966]). Chromidoleptes Agassiz 1846:84, 105 [ref. 64] is an unjustified emendation.
