Type designated by Bleeker 1865:45 [416], not by Bleeker 1865:49 [ref. 416] as T. patoca Hamilton (not an included species if one accepts the equivalence of Leiodon and Leisomus). Species laevissimus perhaps not available. Bleeker 1865:45 apparently serves as first reviser, selecting Leiodon over Leisomus. •Valid as Leiodon Swainson 1839 -- (Kottelat 2013:478 [ref. 32989], Matsuura 2014:20 [ref. 33576], Fricke et al. 2018:389 [ref. 35805]). Current status: Valid as Leiodon Swainson 1839. Tetraodontidae.
