Leiurus Kaup [J. J.] in Duméril 1856:198 Masc. Apparently not available, name only as "Leiurus colubrinus" in list of genera taken from Kaup manuscript; probably for Leiuranus colubrinus. Also objectively invalid; preoccupied by Leiurus Swainson 1839 in fishes. Described as Chlevastes Jordan & Snyder 1901. •In the synonymy of Myrichthys Girard 1859. Nomen Nudum. Current status: Synonym of Myrichthys Girard 1859. Ophichthidae: Ophichthinae.
