Piramutana Bleeker [P.] 1858:355, 357 Fem. Bagrus piramuta Kner 1858. Type by monotypy. Also in Bleeker 1862:11 [ref. 393]. See nomenclatural remarks under Brachyplatystoma Bleeker.
