Apparently appeared first in key without species as above; one species included by Bleeker 1859:144 [ref. 371] and 1860:143 [ref. 380]. Regarded as a nomen oblitum by Roberts 1989:45 [ref. 6439] and in the synonymy of Osteochilus Günther 1868. Predates Osteochilus Günther 1868 (see remarks by Kottelat 1989:10 [ref. 13605]). •Valid as Diplocheilichthys Bleeker 1859 -- (Kottelat & Widjanarti 2005:149 [ref. 28284], Kottelat 2013:99 [ref. 32989]).
