Originally spelled Grammatorycnus, which was regarded as a misspelling and corrected to Grammatorcynus by authors [but perhaps incorrectly so based on Art. 32.3]; suffix apparently based on Orcynus of Cuvier, wrongly cited by Gill as Orycnus.
