Callomystax Günther [A.] 1864:218 Masc. Pimelodus gagata Hamilton 1822. Type by being a replacement name. Unneeded replacement for Gagata Bleeker 1858; Günther replaced the name because he felt Bleeker's characters were incorrect. •Objective synonym of Gagata Bleeker 1858 -- (Ferraris 2007:385 [ref. 29155], Kottelat 2013:223 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Synonym of Gagata Bleeker 1858. Sisoridae: Sisorinae.
