Erroneously dated to Bleeker 1865:335 [ref. 412] by Jordan 1919:335 [ref. 4904] but name Parajulis not found in that publication. •Synonym of Halichoeres Rüppell 1835 -- (authors). •Valid as Parajulis Bleeker 1879 -- (Parenti & Randall 2000:34 [ref. 24943], Kuiter 2010:258 [ref. 35285]).
